Sticky Browse Form and Hard to Figure Out

I'm a new paid subscriber. I just spend an hour "browsing" and it takes the cursor forever to jump to a newly selected field. I selected a few basic criteria (at least to my mind) and it comes back, "I'm sorry, the literary world doesn't live up to...yet" but that can't be right. Also it's hard to tell if I'm selecting criteria or excluding everything else. All I wanted was "available in print, publishing writers with disabilities.." is that enough to keep anything from showing up? I'll have to try again. A tutorial for the tech-weary would be nice.
