In Progress Checkbox

With the changes, it seems the In Progress checkbox was removed on the tracker. I really miss the feature. I have muscle memory from using it so much. It would be nice if it came back.

how do i post my first piece?

Getting started

First day and see no obvious way to get started on submitting a piece. Already written and saved on my laptop, but not uploaded onto ChillSubs yet. Can you set up a START A NEW POST or START A SUBMISSION or START HERE or something similar? Thanks.

Suggestion

For the Rattle, submissions like Poets Respond and the Ekphrastic challenge are quick and will throw off your normal Rattle stats. Could you consider adding these as a magazine subscription option? Thanks.

Suggested poems...

It would be great to have a poem previously submitted to another journal show up as a suggested text string after entering the first few letters of the title of the poem.

Multiple Poems to one submission

Most journals take multiple poems in one submission. It would be great to be able to enter them all at the same time.

Bulk status update

When I go to update a submission to "rejected" I have to select "rejected" for each poem in the submission. IN between I get a pop-up (rejection bingo) that I have to clear AND re-search for the journal as the tracker clears the search criteria. Sooooo, would you either make feature for updating each poem in a submission with one check OR just allow me to proceed through a list without the pop-up and the clearing of the search criteria.

National identity for magazines

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a national flag to each magazine's database entry. Often the things I write have a very English vibe that wouldn't translate well into other cultures (especially US!), but at the moment I have to leave the My Pieces section and go back to the general Browse listings where I can filter by country. It would be really useful to see at a glance where a magazine is based, even if they claim to be international.

How can I mark a rejection on the tracker?

I can't quite figure this out! thank you.

Numbered list function

The numbered list button in the editing function in My Pieces doesn't seem to work. The only number it knows is 1. Nor will it let me turn it off and number manually!

Word limit

Is there a word limit for My Pieces. I am trying to save a piece just under 3.5k words, but keep getting a non-specific error message.

Suggestion

Have you considered having a way to show pending contests vs pending magazine submissions (or maybe put them in a different color on the board)? I don't want to add a bunch of new columns, but maybe a way to view these separately side by side? Does that make sense? Thanks.

Manual additions to submission planner

I would love to be able to add other magazines to the submission planner that are not suggested by the algorithm. For example, I have a story I think would be a good fit for Fictive Dream, but I can't get it to show in the list of suitable markets. It would be great if I could add it to the list manually.

Manual add to submission history

It would be really nice to be able to add manual entries to a piece's submission history to take account of the story's journey before My Pieces was born, or when submitting to markets not thrown up by the Sub planner (e.g. competitions or other places that are not deemed a match by the algorithm).

Competitions

Would it be possible to include competitions in the submissions planner as well as magazines?

Goal Tracking

Lots of writers set a goal to make so many submissions a year. It would be nice to have an at-a-glance component to keep track of how that's going. Something like the bingo percentage calculator? Thanks, Nathanimal

Links to litmags, high-tier rejections

Two tracker ideas: 1) Make the Publisher name in the tracker list a link to that Publisher's page on Chill Subs. 2) Provide a way to indicate when a rejection is a "high-tier" rejection and allow the user to filter by that category. Perhaps could work to add it as a choice among the Status facets. Thanks! Nathanimal
